We develop Öland and the hotel with passion, curiosity, high service and love for gastronomy!
We are a team of passionate service people who love to take care of other people. Hotell Borgholm rests on a long tradition of world-class gastronomy. Already during the middle of the 1800th century, inns in the older part of the hotel were pushed out towards Storgatan.
The inn became Borgholms Stadshotell, which changed its name to Hotell Borgholm in 1972 and was taken over by Owe Fransson and company. At this time, Hotell Borgholm was one of Sweden's leading entertainment centers for dancing and partying.
At the end of the 70s, Karin Fransson came to Öland on holiday and that was the beginning of the development that has made Hotell Borgholm widely known for brilliant gastronomy with a distinctive style of herb-scented food.
In 2019, Christofer Johansson and Daniel Olsson took over the hotel and further develop the culinary heritage with inspiration from Öland and based on the seasonal variety and Öland's rich range of raw materials.
We are a gastronomic hotel where the heart of the business is our dining room. As surely as the orchids bloom on the Alvaret in Öland or that our fantastic herb garden is filled with greenery, we invite you all to enjoy our handiwork. The wine list has breadth and depth, known and unknown wines from all corners of the world. In our newly renovated high-standard hotel rooms, you can find details from Swedish and international designers, often with connections to Öland
