Sustainability in everything we do!

Sustainability

For us at Hotell Borgholm, sustainability is central to our entire business and development. It is a journey that will never end.

We have chosen to be very operational and concrete in our way of working with sustainability. We are a small business with limited resources and try to make as small an impression on the environment as possible. Here are clear guidelines for all areas where our operations affect our environment, but of course creating an equal and fair workplace is also part of the work with sustainability. Our sustainability work is based on the UN's principles of sustainable development, because we believe that it is created by wise people who understand what matters most and makes the most use of these issues.

You can read more about that work via our equality and diversity policy and take part in the whole spring sustainability policy here.

We primarily believe in the long term and therefore always choose quality. This applies both to the choice of interior design, which suppliers and partners we work with for which products and packages we sell, how we use Öland without using it, how we can help Borgholm develop all year round and, not least, how we get staff and guests to take great responsibility in daily choices.

We even want to go so far as to one day become completely plastic-free.

We also want to help current and future guests to Öland and Hotell Borgholm to become a better guest. This by offering products that teach the guests how to use the island in the best way, but also by setting demands on the guests before their visit. This through various prompts and information that is clearly shown during a stay with us.

Below are a few different areas that we pay attention to:
