Who owns Hotel Borgholm?

Hotell Borgholm is a famous one restaurant in Borgholm. Since January 1, 2019, it is Christofer Johansson and Daniel Olsson who will give the historic Hotell Borgholm and the restaurant its new identity.

Since the takeover, they have managed and developed the historic hotel with a vision of continuing the high level of service and the culinary identity that previous owners Karin and Owe Fransson were known for. Karin Fransson, a prominent name in the world of gastronomy, and her husband Owe, together with Christofer Johansson, have each contributed in their own way to creating a Hotel Borgholm where tradition meets innovation.

Restaurant and hotel with new owner

Christofer Johansson is a renowned restaurateur and head chef. He has worked at several well-known restaurants around the world, including as head chef at Krakas Krog on Gotland and Noma in Copenhagen, and most recently he comes from Eksgården on Öland.

Daniel Olsson is an entrepreneur and investor, who has several successful companies behind him. He also has a great personal interest in food and drink.

Since the hotel and restaurant got new owners, on August 20, 2018, the business has continued to be characterized by perfection and a love for gastronomy. Karin Fransson and Owe Fransson have left behind a strong legacy of ingenuity, taste sensation and, not least, joy in food.
